Classical music is grouped into layers: medieval, renaissance, baroque, classical and romantic. You can find the list of composers.
The composers are placed in significant places: where they came from or where they worked. The interaction with the touch screen or the mouse on the marks reveals a composer, a short description and one of their significant piece, which can be played through the built-in audio player.
The source of the files and their type of license are presented (they are part of the public domain or the license allows reproduction in the public space for educational and non-commercial purposes, with appropriate mention of the sources, without payment of royalties or copyrights).
Popular traditions are grouped into layers: costumes, music and dances, taken from works in the public domain or published on the Internet under the Creative Commons Attribution License (reuse allowed), with the appropriate mention of the source and link to it.
The layer related to the costumes presents images taken from Alexandrina Enăchescu-Cantemir's album, Portul popular românesc (Romanian Folk Costumes), published by Scrisul Românesc Publishing House, Craiova, in 1939.
The music and dance layer features videos of folk dance ensembles directly from the YouTube platform.
